Kids' Sing Along (8 and under)

A weekly class for young kids (ages 3–8) and their grown-ups, built around joyful movement, music, and connection.

Each session includes a little stretching, a lot of singing, rhythm play with small instruments, and ends in a big, goofy dance party. Songs are familiar, repeatable, and meant to be sung together — not performed.

Parents are welcome to participate and must stay with children under 6. If you'd prefer to sit it out, you're welcome to relax or work in our lounge area — with Wi-Fi, comfy chairs, and large tables.

$5-20 suggested donation. We don't turn anyone away based on financial need!

Christopher Keener

Christopher Keener is Glow Hall’s owner, and the counselor-in-charge at our progressive School of Sound & Vision. He’s a career musician borne of the infamous indie and punk scenes of Missouri and Chicago, and a photographer and film artist trained at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where he later taught sculpture and photography. He also teaches music at Kalamazoo’s independent Kazoo School, where his pedagogy is rooted in play and excitement, allowing students to explore music and the arts in a way that fosters creativity, confidence, and joy.

What to Expect

The Sing Along is an hour-long musical sing-along for younger kids and their families! It takes place Saturday mornings from 11 AM - 12 PM at Glow Hall, 246 N, Kalamazoo Mall, Kalamazoo, MI, 49007. See our Eventbrite page for specific dates!

The Sing Along is a casual, welcoming environment for families with young kids. We'll sing songs, play games, and dance together as we build musical community.

How do I Attend?

You can sign up in advance on our Eventbrite page, or just drop in and pay at the door! The Sing Along takes place at Glow Hall, 246 N. Kalamazoo Mall, Kalamazoo, MI, 49007.

Our Policies

Kids at the Sing Along are typically 8 years old or under, but we're open to hosting older children if the vibe is right. We make age exceptions on a case-by-case basis, so please reach out to us if you thnik it's right for your child.

The Sing Along is supervised by Christopher, our LARA- and CPR-certified counselor-in-charge. Kids over 5 can be dropped off, and spend 45 minutes jamming out while you do what you need to do. For everyone's safety and comfort, kids 5 and under need to be accompanied by an adult.

Sing Along participants are expected to respect our space, our equipment, and each other. If they don't, we reserve the right to reevaluate whether it's the right fit.
